this afternoon, expected once again to reach into the upper 60's. we watched over the past few hours some isolated showers in tennessee and more so in kentucky and virginia. one or two spots in the the next couple of hours. after that, it will clear up and be nice for the afternoon. temperatures right now ranging from asheville's 40. 44 in waynesville. brevard avenue 44. -- at 44. we will see low 60's for the spartanburg, anderson starting out at 51, and we will see upper 60's. cooler in tigerville and landrum, where it is 47. mid to upper 60's expected this afternoon. we will talk about our next chance of rain coming in

geoff: fire officials tell us a child was taken to a burn center after a house fire in honea path. allyson: investigators say crews responded last night to green street. they say four adults and two children were inside the home. officials say one child was pulled out in cardiac arrest, taken to a hospital to be stabilized, and then taken to the burn center. investigators say no other injuries were reported and the house is probably a total loss. geoff: other new information this morning. greenville county deputies say they're investigating a home invasion in fountain inn. they say it happened about 10:30 last night on nash mill road. investigators say a man and woman with a gun rummaged through the home and left in a car. no one was hurt, and no arrests have been made. this morning, some good news for you in greenville county. a boy scout's back home safe after spending nearly a day alone in frigid temperatures covered up in leaves to stay warm. allyson: wyff news 4's aly myles joins us from jones gap state park with more.

we're here at jones gap state park where we barely have any cell signal, making it tough to extremely difficul to call for help if necessary. so imagine getting separated from a group and dealing with some pretty tough terrain. that's what happened to 12-year-old john quay here saturday afternoon. officials say he was alone for roughly 18 hours. he was found sunday on old camp creek road hungry, cold and in wet clothes. we're told john crossed creeks and went through some rough terrain in below freezing temperatures. >> the crew that found him said he just come up and gave them a big hug like thank you. it was pretty overwhelming. aly: john is part of boy scout troop 210 out of powdersville. troop leaders say they teach the boys survival skills at a young age, including using the buddy system. they say they aren't sure how he got separated. officials say john is now home with his parents and resting. aly myles, wyff news 4, live at jones gap state park. geoff: thank you. quite a story there. greenville county deputies say they need your help finding a double murder suspect who cut off his ankle monitoring device.

williams killed two people at a nightclub in 2014. he was released from jail in january with an ankle monitoring device as part of the home incarceration program. records show he cut off that device thursday morning. deputies say williams has friends and family living in the taylors area and in oconee and anderson counties. if you see him, you're asked to call 911. allyson: in asheville, police say they need your help finding a driver who fired shots during a road rage incident. it happened early friday morning along tunnell road. a woman told police she was almost in a collision with a man, who then fired a handgun in her direction. police say they tried to stop the driver, but he took off. the woman was not hurt. if you have any information about what happened, call the asheville police departmenen geoff: state troopers say they've charged a woman who hit four bicyclists with her car in johnston county. the crash happened last weekend.

nnie marie williams drove her car behind the cyclists and hit them, throwing them from their bikes. williams did stop at the scene after the crash, but a cyclist hurt in the accident says he's not satisfied with the charges. >> i'm a bit disappointed mainly because it seemed like the charges are minimal. geoff: williams is facing multiple charges, including reckless driving to endanger and improper passing resulting in serious injury. allyson: in commitment 2016 coverage now, the south carolina primary has come and gone. now it is time for super tuesday. we are only one day away from one of the biggest nights of the presidential election season. geoff: that's when many voters head to the ballot box, and a lot of delegates are up for grabs. take a look at the map for a look at the states participating tomorrow. american samoa is also naming its democratic nominee. right now, hillary clinton and

even sporting events were tweeting. geoff: sylvester stallone, many people thought he would get it, and he did not. that was one of the surprises of the night. dale: i wanted to see that happen. that is a shame. today? we have another nice when shaping up today. in fact, 50 degrees this morning in laurens. the upper 60's. we got up to 67 at gsp yesterday. as far as precipitation, mountains of north carolina may it an isolated sprinkle in one or two spots as part of a front pushing through quickly this morning, but it will be over by late morning should there even be an isolated sprinkle. in the afternoon, and will be nice for the upstate and mountains. looking at temperatures climbing to the low 60's in the mountains and upper 60's for the upstate area let's check on a few communities in the piedmont.

clemson in a 1 1 hole in the second, but the tigers erase the deficit quickly. freshman seth beer lifts this pitch to left and into the chapman grandstands. beer went 3-3, a homer, and three rbi. clemson bangs out 15 hits in an 11-2 win, completing the sweep over james madison. the gamecocks busted out the brooms against penn state. we moved to the third inning. 1-1. john jones, what a weekend for series. 8-10, two home runs, adds two rbi on this play to give him 10 rbi in the series. usc completes the sweep of penn state, 4-2. gamecocks 8-0 on the year. geoff: from baseball to football here seven weeks after playing , for the national championship, the clemson football team goes back to work today. the tigers' first spring practice is this afternoon. the gamecocks are still two weeks away from the start of theirs. both programs will play their spring game april 9. baseball season's just getting started, but basketball season

the south carolina women have closed out the regular season as just the second team in sec history to go through league play a perfect 16-0. the team did it against lsu on senior day in columbia. the winningest class in school history with 115 victories wins celebrated this weekend. the gamemecks with no trouble beating lsu 75-39. meanwhile, clemson wrapped up the regular season with a 71-57 loss to nc state. this is men's basketball. that is women's, excuse me. the tigers will face wake forest in the acc tournament at 2:30 wednesday in greensboro. in high school basketball, three upstate teams will play for state titles this upcoming weekend in columbia. on the boys side, the byrnes rebels will battle irmo for the 4a state title. abbeville will take on timberland at 4:00 p.m. saturday. on the girls side, christ church takes on timmonsville at 11:00

we're seeing a heart will -- har twell 51. by the end of the day, upper northeastern georgia. low 60's in the mountains. breeze. they are still about 10-15 for the upstate today. normally this time of year, we would average 64 a high after a chilly morning, but today, 68 is what we are looking forward to. asheville normally average is 54 for a high. 61 is forecasted for today. above normal temperatures today. we will see those temperatures back up tomorrow is the next front makes its way across the country with cooler nights and a good chance of rain tomorrow night into wednesday morning. four-day plus.

showers will cool it down ernight tuesday into wednesday. 49 to 59 for highs on wednesday. most of the rain activity will be before noon. by wednesday afternoon, it clears. thursday should be nice. friday, another chance of showers with a front coming through. saturday and sunday projected to be sunny. temperatures back to normal by sunday with 56 in the mountains and 63 in the upstate. allyson: thank you. there have been nine pregnant women in the u.s. infected with the zika virus, and the number is likely to rise. the centers for disease control and prevention confirmed the nine cases friday. 10 other cases are suspected. two of those pregnancies ended in a miscarriage. two were aborted. one baby was born with severe brain abnormalities. all of the women had traveled to countries where zika is spreading. geoff: the man accused of fatally shooting two people, including a police officer in virginia, is expected in court today. active sergeant ronald hamilton , an army staff sergeant assigned to the pentagon, has

people, one officer ashley guindon who was working her first day as an officer. hamilton reportedly opened fire on prince william county officers as they approached a home responding to a domestic dispute call. rookie officer ashley guindon later died from her injuries. hamilton is expected to appear in court today charged with . family and friends remember the life of a kalamazoo shooting spree victim. a memorial service was held yesterday for 60-year-old mary joe nye in battle creek, michigan. nye was one of the six people killed last saturday after a man went on a deadly shooting rampage in kalamazoo. >> she loved lake michigan. she loved the shoreline. it brought her peace. geoff: during her funeral, former students shared memories of her commitment to teaching inside and outside the classroom. allyson: a university of virginia student detained in north korea for two months

otto frederick warmbier confessed to a "hostile act." warmbier is accused of trying to steal a banner or sign containing a political slogan from the walls of his north korea hotel in january. the 21-year-old gave an conference yesterday. >> i wish that the united states administration never manipulated people like myself in the future to commit crimes against foreign countries. act to save me. please, think of my family. allyson: north korean officials say the conference was held at his own request, but it's not unclear if he was coerced to speak. the north korean government alleges warmbier was encouraged by a secretive university society and the cia. michigan governor rick snyder's aides knew something was wrong with flint's water as far back

that's according recently released emails from his top aides. they discussed switching the water supply back from the flint river to lake huron. the email exchange is dated six months after flint started using its own river for drinking water. researchers later found elevated levels of lead that can cause neurological problems to children. in response to those emails, snyder's spokesman said those were preliminary concerns before aides knew about the lead problem. geoff: it was a race to the top of the rock in new york city. 66 flights of stairs from the ground level to the top of the observation deck at rockefeller center yesterday. that is a live running. runners crossed the finish line on the 69th floor of the famed new york skyscraper to an amazing view of the manhattan skyline and a medal. the eighth annual event is expected to raise $1 million for multiple sclerosis research and supportive services. the top the rock vertical 5k
